It provides useful information for park staff and who are working on construction projects or boundary management activities. It also provides useful information for the public, such as boundary monument location information for state-licensed surveyors working on property surveys adjoining NPS lands. This data was initially created on 08/06/2010 using ArcMap 9.3 by generating point features from coordinate pairs provided by Denver Service Center (DSC) survey project deliverable files. Points with local or missing coordinate values were generated at the park unit centroid. Scanned monument record sheets or survey plats are hyperlinked to each point feature. Detailed attributes include point source, coordinate values, expected accuracies and date/time information. The goal of this dataset is to provide survey information to help reduce redundancies and costs for construction projects, boundary surveys and boundary management.", "summary": "This vector point dataset was created to show survey control points and boundary monuments across all park units.
